LNAT practice tests for 2026 support@lexcello.com
Lexcelloget LNAT readyThe LNAT registration process for 2027 entry, step by step: creating your account, booking a test, paying, the deadlines, test centres, rescheduling and what to bring on the day.
Updated October 2026 for the 2026–27 admissions cycle
Register on the LNAT website to get your LNAT username and password. Type your first and last name exactly as they appear on the photo ID you will bring on test day. You can't change your name yourself later.
Applying to UK universities? Enter your UCAS Personal Identifier on your LNAT profile before you submit your UCAS application. If your profile doesn't show the correct UCAS ID, your application will be delayed. You can add it later if you don't have it yet.
Log in to your LNAT account and use the menu at the top left to make a booking. Choose a test centre and any day with a free slot that is before your earliest university deadline. Need extra time or other access arrangements? Don't book online: apply first.
Payment is taken at the time of booking: £75 at a UK or EU test centre, £120 anywhere else. You pay by card, LNAT e-voucher or bursary (see below).
Pearson VUE, which runs the LNAT test centres, emails you a confirmation. On test day you show it, on your phone or on paper, with your photo ID.
If your school or college books for you, you are still responsible for making sure the booking is correct and on time.
| Where you sit the test | Fee |
|---|---|
| A test centre in the UK or the EU | £75 |
| A test centre anywhere else | £120 |
The fee depends on where the test centre is, not on where you live or your nationality. It is always charged in pounds sterling; if your card is not from the UK, your card company converts it under its own rules.
Credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Amex and JCB. Debit cards: Visa and Mastercard only, and only if they don't need a PIN. Maestro (Switch) debit cards are not accepted.
If you have no suitable card, you can apply for an LNAT voucher: you send the application form and pay by bank transfer, and the voucher number is emailed to you. You enter it instead of a card number when you book.
The test fee is waived for UK and EU students who receive certain state benefits. You must apply for the bursary before you book, and it can take at least a week to process. See paying for your test on the LNAT website.
Your deadlines are set by the earliest deadline among the universities you are applying to. Don't sit the LNAT before 1 September 2026: an earlier sitting doesn't count for 2027 entry.

Registration and booking opened on 1 August 2026 and testing started on 1 September 2026. The UCAS deadline is 15 October 2026 for Oxford and Cambridge and 13 January 2027 (6pm UK time) for the others. You can sit the LNAT before or after you send your UCAS application.
Late applications: universities don't have to consider them and may not accept an LNAT taken as late as July, so check with them first. Full details are on the official dates and deadlines page. Centres get busy close to deadlines, so book as early as you can.
You sit the LNAT on a computer at a Pearson VUE test centre. There are around 500 centres in more than 165 countries. There are no paper versions of the test.
The full list, with free dates, is shown when you book: log in to your LNAT account, start a booking and search by your town or postcode. Below are centres that appeared in the booking system in October 2026, to give you an idea. These lists are not complete, and centres can change, so always check when you book.
You can change your date or centre, or cancel, by logging in to your LNAT account. It is free only if you do it in time. The official pages give two cut-offs:
To be safe, go by whichever is earlier for your test date. After that you can't reschedule. If you miss your test, you lose the fee and must book and pay again. Fees are not refunded if you decide not to sit the LNAT. The same rules apply to vouchers and bursaries.
To change the name on your profile, contact LNAT Customer Service: LNATcustomerservice@pearson.com, or +44 (0)333 003 0764 (9am to 5pm UK time, Monday to Friday).
More on the official test-day page.
If you need access arrangements, such as extra time (for example for dyslexia) or a reader recorder, create your LNAT account online but don't book your test online.
Extra time can usually be approved within a few days, but a reader recorder takes at least three weeks. Nothing can be changed at the test centre on the day. If you booked before applying, you will have to cancel and rebook, and the usual rescheduling rules apply.
No. You sit the LNAT once in each admissions cycle, and the same result is used by all the LNAT universities you apply to.
No. You can sit the LNAT only once in each LNAT year (1 September to 31 July). If you sit it twice, the later sitting is automatically cancelled and its result is void.
No. LNAT results can't be carried forward. If you apply again in a later UCAS year, you must sit the LNAT again that year.
Yes, free of charge if you do it in time: at least 48 hours before your appointment, or by 12 noon UK time on the second working day before your test, whichever is earlier. After that you can't reschedule, and missing the test means paying again.
£75 at a test centre in the UK or the EU, and £120 at a test centre anywhere else. The fee depends on where the test centre is, not on where you live or your nationality.
Apply for an LNAT voucher: you pay by bank transfer and receive a voucher number by email, which you use instead of a card when you book. It can take up to ten working days, so apply early. Students paying from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Benin, Cameroon, Gambia, Ghana, Iran, Kenya, Lebanon, Myanmar, Nigeria, Pakistan, Senegal, Tanzania or Uganda must use a voucher.
As early as you can. Registration for 2027 entry opened on 1 August 2026 and testing started on 1 September 2026. Centres get busy close to university deadlines, so book well before the earliest deadline that applies to you.
The LNAT has two parts: Section A, 42 multiple-choice questions on argumentative passages in 95 minutes, and Section B, one essay in 40 minutes. The best use of the weeks before your test is timed practice in the same format.
